Terms of use
Last updated: 16 October 2026
These terms
These terms apply to your use of clearsourceuk.co.uk (“ClearSource”), run by the company named in the imprint. By using the site you accept them.
The site is free. Nothing is sold on it.
What ClearSource is
An independent guide to Microsoft licensing in the United Kingdom. It is information, not licensing, legal, tax or financial advice. Check Microsoft’s Product Terms and ask an IT partner before you buy.
ClearSource is made for businesses. It does not sell licences and is not a party to any contract you make with Microsoft or an IT partner. If you use it as a consumer, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
Prices
Prices are Microsoft’s public UK list prices in pounds sterling, excluding VAT, as Microsoft’s UK pages show them, each with its date and source. A price ClearSource calculates from Microsoft’s pricing rules is marked “≈”.
Prices are for information. They are not offers or quotes. What you pay depends on your IT partner’s quote, which is often lower.
Information about IT partners
It comes from public sources, mainly Microsoft’s partner directory and each company’s own website, and is checked against them before a company is listed. ClearSource does not state a company’s register status. A certification is shown only as the company’s own certificate states it.
A listing is not a rating, recommendation or endorsement. ClearSource gives no warranty that partner information is accurate, complete or current, and is not responsible for any IT partner’s services, prices or conduct.
Accuracy and liability
ClearSource is compiled with care but may contain errors or be out of date. What applies to you is what Microsoft, its Product Terms and your IT partner’s quote say.
The site and its data are free and provided as they are. As far as English law allows, ClearSource gives no warranty and is not liable for loss arising from using or relying on the site, its data or its machine interfaces.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer. If a term is not allowed, the rest still applies.
Our content and data
ClearSource’s texts, comparisons, directory and datasets are its own work, protected by copyright and database right. Facts as such are not. Licence names, product data and prices from Microsoft remain Microsoft’s.
You may read, link, quote short passages with a link to the source, and use the site and its machine interfaces (llms.txt, MCP) for your own information, including through search engines and AI assistants.
Without written permission you may not copy or republish the site or its data wholesale: no mirrors or clones, no bulk copying, scraping or resale of the directory or datasets, and no competing directory or database built from them.
Automated access
Search engines and AI services may crawl the site as robots.txt allows, including to index it, answer questions with links to their sources and train AI models. Bulk downloading beyond normal crawling and getting around rate limits are not allowed.
Using the site’s content and data to train AI models needs no permission. Republishing the content or data themselves, in full or in substantial part, is covered by “Our content and data”.
Accounts
Accounts are for people aged 18 or over who act for a business. One account per person; do not share it.
ClearSource may suspend or close an account that is misused, for example for unsolicited advertising, false information or attempts to see other people’s data. You can delete yours at any time under “Account and security”. IT partners using the partner portal also accept the partner terms and the lead data-sharing terms.
Trademarks
Microsoft, Microsoft 365 and related product names and icons are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies. Company names and logos in the directory belong to their owners. ClearSource is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Microsoft.
External links
ClearSource links to Microsoft, IT partners and others. It does not control their content and a link is not an endorsement.
Corrections
If something about your company or a price is wrong, tell us through the contact page and we will check it.
Changes
ClearSource may change these terms. The version on this page applies; the date at the top shows the latest.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales decide disputes.
If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the part of the United Kingdom where you live, and ClearSource may bring proceedings against you only there. Your consumer rights under the law of your part of the UK stay in place.
